Deleu Ranch sits on the rolling grasslands of Collinsville, Texas, where the Deleu family has spent more than 25 years raising and training quality horses. What started as a passion for reining horses has grown into a full working ranch built on patience, honest horsemanship, and respect for the land.
Our program has always centered on doing things right — correct genetics, sound conformation, and horses with good minds that are as much a pleasure at home as they are in the show pen.
Over the years we've expanded beyond horses, building a productive registered cattle operation that reflects that same standard of quality.
Deleu Ranch is, first and foremost, a family operation. Three generations of hands-on work and shared values shape every decision made on this land — from the horses we raise to the cattle we run.
Carlos Deleu is the founder and guiding hand of Deleu Ranch. More than 25 years ago, he set out with a simple goal: raise quality reining horses the right way — through patience, correct genetics, and honest horsemanship rather than shortcuts.
Under his leadership, the ranch grew from a personal passion for horses into a full working operation in Collinsville, Texas, later expanding into a productive registered cattle program. Carlos's steady, hands-on approach to ranching — and his insistence on doing things right the first time — remains the standard every horse and every head of cattle at Deleu Ranch is still held to today.
Laurie Deleu has stood alongside her husband Carlos since the earliest days of the ranch, helping build Deleu Ranch into the family operation it is today. Her care and attention to detail run through every part of the property, from the wellbeing of the broodmare band and foals to the daily rhythm that keeps the ranch running smoothly.
Laurie's steady presence — equal parts warmth and work ethic — has helped shape the welcoming, family-first character that visitors and buyers feel the moment they arrive at Deleu Ranch.
Kevin Deleu, son of Carlos and Laurie, grew up on this land and represents the next generation carrying the Deleu Ranch name forward. Raised around the horses and cattle his parents built the operation on, Kevin brings that same hands-on knowledge to the ranch's day-to-day work today.
As the family's primary point of contact, Kevin is who you'll most often reach when you call about a sale horse, a breeding, or the ranch's export quarantine services — continuing his parents' commitment to quality and honest dealing with every phone call.
The Deleu family begins raising and training horses, focusing on quality reining bloodlines and correct, careful horsemanship.
Looking to make full use of the ranch's pasture, the family begins raising registered cattle, starting with Grey Brahman genetics.
The cattle program transitions entirely to Registered Angus, with a clear goal: raise productive cattle meant to make beef.
Deleu Ranch continues raising NRHA-bred reining horses and registered Angus cattle side-by-side on the same Collinsville land.
From bloodlines to breaking, every decision is made with quality — not shortcuts — in mind.
We start every horse with patience and consistency, building trust before we ever ask for performance.
Our pastures, our herd, and our horses are all part of the same living operation — we manage all of it with care.
We've been raising registered cattle for over 15 years, starting with Grey Brahmans and transitioning fully to Registered Angus within the last seven. Our goal is simple: raise productive cattle, meant to make beef.
Wide open pasture, working fence lines, and pastures full of mares, foals, and cattle — this is what a working day at Deleu Ranch looks like.
